SUMMARY:Forging - Pig-Tail Steak Turner
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for grilling season and learn the basics of blacksmithing while forging a pig-tail steak turner. \n\n\n\nSpring is around the corner and we are putting together a BBQ grill set! First up is the pig-tail steak turner. In this class you will learn the basic skills of blacksmithing\, forge safety\, and use of the tools and equipment in the shop. While forging your steak turner\, you will learn to shape the metal through tapers\, scrolls\, and twists. The class is free and limited to 6 people. Each attendee needs to register individually and must be at least 18 years old. \n\n\n\nThe blacksmithing program is called War Horse Forge. You will be guided through the project step-by-step. No experience is needed! Everyone will get a safety briefing before you begin. You will work hard\, learn something new\, and have a great time. They are located at 81 Whispering Pines Lane\, Stafford\, VA. \n\n\n\nWhat to Wear \n\n\n\nTheir building is heated and cooled naturally. Please dress in layers and wear cotton clothing (no synthetic materials). Closed-toed shoes are required. Comfortable boots are a great idea.  \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring \n\n\n\nBring your own facemask\, eye protection\, and leather gloves. They will provide a heat-resistant face shield. Ear protection is highly recommended and they will have disposable earbuds. A water bottle and snacks are a good idea as you will get a workout! There will NOT be lunch provided. \n\n\n\nPrecautions due to COVID-19 \n\n\n\nFace masks must be worn at all times.
